The RV Table (Cookbook) is Done!
Updated: Feb 7, 2021
The whole cookbook really is something that I've been working on for a long time in my own mind and in my heart. I’ve been trying to figure out what it is that can share best with others. So, for me, sharing my own personal recipes—along with my own personal home—is a way to share it. Of course for me, home is really two places—the RV and the cottage I am renovating (and hope to have done someday so I can retire in it, lol).
Most days I’m happiest coming home and heading right into the kitchen—where I immediately start chopping things from my garden like veggies and herbs. Then I fire up the crockpot or stovetop and start prepping dinner. I love home cooked meals, and being in the kitchen has always been relaxing for me. And I hope this inspires you too!
So my new cookbook, The RV Table, is officially available now on Amazon! If you'd like an autographed copy, please email bmkpublishing@gmail.com directly for purchase.
What made writing this cookbook such an experience was that most of the RV's kitchens out there have tiny spaces and tiny appliances. So this put a real challenge on my family’s tried-and-true recipes because I had to rethink portions and practicality when developing a whole new collection of recipes especially for gathering family and friends around the RV table.
I hope this first edition of my "table" cookbook series gives you even more reason to gather with the ones you love whether it's at your campsite or at home. I'm currently working on the second edition coming later this year called The Vintage Table which will feature retro recipes I love to make in my historical cottage home.
P.S. I kept the paperback size to 61-pages so it's small, easy to store in your RV and weighs less than a bulky hardback!
I've included my taste-tempting favorites for RV cooking and easy camping meals, which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert recipes. Every RV Chef loves cooking yummy home cooked recipes with easy preparation on the road and in your RV.
In the meantime, check out some of my family recipes here. Plus take a look at these sustainable kitchen products to prepare for the new recipes you're going to try in The RV Table cookbook. I've come across these lately that I like to take with me RV camping, or when I'm staying at my historical farmhouse.
Here's 2 of My Favorite Sustainable Kitchen Products:
1. I'm always looking for alternatives to plastic. So the new food storage solutions called Bee's Wrap is perfect. I personally love these because they do not use synthetic wax or chemicals, which is important when it is touching our food!
2. When you are RVing, food storage and safety are at the top of my kitchen checklist, which is why I like these 100% Silicone Food Grade Reusable Bags.
