The Easiest Way to Deep Clean Your RV or Home Bathroom

Here are my tips for making cleaning and reorganizing your house fast and easy. Whether you are full time RVing or living in a sticks-and-bricks home, these cleaning hacks will help!

Cleaning your RV bathroom or bathroom at home can often be damp, mildew-y, and stinky. Plus, the majority of the bathroom needs to be cleaned by hand and with some elbow grease.

Whenever possible, I try to make a DIY cleaner using essential oils. But when that's not an option, then I use only natural and organic products when cleaning my kitchen or bathrooms.

I've decided to just list my top tips for deep cleaning your RV or home bathroom, including how often it needs to be done and what you can do to make that task a little bit more manageable. Here are my Top 3 Bathroom Deep Cleaning Hacks You Should Be Doing Now:

Get Into a Weekly Routine

I like to choose a day that's convenient for and make a plan to tackle the space. With that being said, if you stay on top of the bathroom sink, counters and keep the shower dry throughout the rest of the week, you shouldn't have to devote a great deal of time to the cleaning on your "cleaning day".

A Dry RV Shower is a Clean Shower

It's simple really - the key to a clean shower is a dry shower. It's crucial to keep your RV shower dry. Soap scum and mildew can't attach to the surfaces of the bath or shower if there's no water to work with. Take 30 seconds after each shower to squeegee the walls and floor!

Cleaning Bathroom Rugs and Towels

Let's face it, when you are RVing the bathroom rugs and towels can start to smell like mildew if they aren't dried out daily. I personally like laundering them after two or three uses. Bathroom rugs should also be laundered regularly to keep your RV or vintage home bathroom smelling fresh. If you're keeping the shower dry, you won't have to clean the shower curtain as often as the rugs and towels. Laundering it once every two to three months will be enough.
