My second home of Plains, Georgia has a rich and interesting history. It is home to some of the most amazing, friendly people you will ever meet. It's one of the reasons why I bought here and started restoring the cottage which I lovingly refer to as Plains Cottage.
One of the most-asked questions from friends are where they should plan to eat, play and stay while visiting. There is no shortage of things to see and do in Plains, so let me show you around!
39th President Jimmy Carter's Boyhood Farm
As you walk down the white sandy yard with shady trees lining the path, you see this beautiful and charming white farmhouse where the 39th President of the United States played as a boy. It was during the Great Depression when Jimmy grew up, which greatly impacted his entire life. I found the farm to be a true inspiration to restoring my Plains Cottage farmhouse I bought nearby.

Plains, Georgia // shopping My cottage is located within walking distance to historical downtown Plains where you can shop at the Antique Mall, General Store, Flower Shop, and Women's Boutique.
Buffalo Cafe // eats Our town has the cutest cafe called Buffalo Cafe which is the historical bank building. The menu is filled with housemade goodies and savory dishes!
