5 Wedding Superstitions You May Not Know About

You've probably heard the old bridal saying, "Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue." Well, this is a familiar superstition but there are a few you may never heard of!

In my latest novel from BMK Publishing, Rescuing Plains Cottage, Mary is the new girl who moved to the small enchanting town of Plains, Georgia. Little be known to her, she would encounter a handsome peanut farmer named Wesley. And well, the rest is history!

  1. Color of Dress - Queen Victoria is to blame for this one. Ever since she was seen wearing a white wedding dress it has been a tradition in Europe and America.

  2. A Rainy Day - some may say it's bad luck, but in the Victorian days they thought differently. Why? Because untying a "wet knot" is extremely difficult!

  3. Full Moon - of course moonlight is always pretty especially for photos, but did you know ancient Greeks believed it ensured lifelong harmony and longevity?

If you are planning a wedding, dreaming of a wedding, or simply love feel-good stories, I invite you to explore my Plains Cottage stories of an "old cottage that sparks something beautiful and new."
